I test drove a few and it was a no brainer when it came to this one. Thanks Consumer Reports for helping me with my decision. I waited for their complete review of this car before I even test drove the car. The entire Honda purchasing went exceptionally well. The process was so streamlined I could not believe it. It was not an all Saturday afternoon fiasco like my last car purchase. Honda even does a survey a week after purchase so they can get feedback on how they're doing. I see why they have such excellent owner satisfaction and make such great cars. Kudos to Mikal Willams at Nalley Honda for the stellar service. Despite some of the reports there is a trip computer. I don't think that most have even tested it.

U.F.O DISCLOSURE PROJECT U.FO MEETING

The Truth Is Out There

I Have A Sexy Beast In My Garage

I just purchased a new 2008 Accord and I love this Vehicle. Even if you are not an expert photographer, the K850 does everything to help you get the best possible shots on your phone. Photo fix automatically improves light balance in one click to make your picture as good as it can get. When taking a picture of a moving object, for example at a sports event, you can select BestPic(TM) and take nine pictures in one burst. Then simply choose the best and delete the rest.

Beautifully simple - Increased functionality does not mean increased complexity. When in camera mode the K850's next generation camera menu makes it intuitive to scroll between functions like shoot mode and picture size. The lens cover retracts automatically with one press of the camera button and a new mode selector lets you switch quickly between camera, video and picture viewing modes. The regular phone keyboard also has a dual purpose; switch to camera mode and illuminated icons indicate which keys act as short-cuts for the digital zoom and other functions.

Easy to access - Beyond the camera, the K850 is a capable multimedia phone. The new media browser puts all of your stored media, whether photos, video, music or podcasts, in one place offering you a unique Sony Ericsson media experience. Scroll, sort and access your media from a single point in the menu. The K850 Cyber-shot(TM) phone also allows you to carry out an intelligent search to see photos by the month they were taken, view thumbnail images or scroll through in full-picture mode. With the new crystal display, the K850 offers optimal clarity from any viewing angle.

Easy to share - Once you have taken your picture it is easy to share the memory. If showing a photo on the K850's large 2.2" crystal bright display, the innovative auto rotate feature will display it in the correct aspect - portrait or landscape - irrespective of the orientation it was taken in. Picture blogging and video blogging allow you to upload your shots and footage at HSDPA speeds to your own blogsite.

Easy to pair - Given the premium look of the K850 Cyber-shot(TM) phone, you will want to match it with an accessory that looks just as good. Announced today as an optional accessory, the Bluetooth(TM) Headset IV840 fits discretely and securely into your ear. This high-performance headset can leave you handsfree for up to 9 hours of talking. It can pair automatically with the K850 for easy set-up, whilst digital noise cancellation provides for optimum sound quality. So, like the K850, the IV840 does not compromise performance or ease of use.

Facts and FiguresSize:

102 x 48 x 17 mm
Weight: 118 grams
Colours: Luminous Green Velvet Blue
Screen: 262,144 colour TFT
Resolution: 240 x 320 pixels
Size: 2.2 inches
Phone memory: Up to 40 MB
Memory card support: Memory Stick Micro(TM) (M2(TM)) and SanDisk micro SD(TM)/Transflash(TM)
Networks: K850i (UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100-GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900)
K858c (GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900)
Talk time GSM/UMTS: Up to 9 hrs/3 hrs 30 min
Standby time GSM/UMTS: Up to 400 hrs/350 hrs
Video call time (K850): Up to 3 hrs 20 min

The Sony Ericsson K850 Cyber-shot(TM) phone is a Tri-Band HSDPA and Quad-Band GPRS/EDGE phone with a colour choice of either Velvet Blue or Luminous Green. I'm on the fence after a week of using it. It was supposed to replace all my remotes (tv, cable, dvd, surround) but I still need to pick up my old remotes every so often because the remote has either failed to learn the remote code or fails to transmit the code learned. I think that I could have found a Harmony 880 Remote in a superstore for $129 if I would have waited a little longer. I'll hope and pray that this remote morphs into something that I want it to be.

Review

Unboxing the remote you are presented with a hefty remote with alot of well aligned buttons. Batteries are included!! Pop in the batteries and you're presented with a wizard to setup your device(s) and you're on your way. Within a minute, I had my tv, cable box, dvd, and surround sound setup. There is no learning curve as you simply follow the instructions on the lcd. No need for a computer and usb cable for remote codes. Granted I did not receive a manual in my shipment; only a one page quick reference guide. I'm glad that X10 is appeciative of my high level thinking.

I ran into some problems after using the learn feature. If I programmed the soft keys at the top of the remote with a learned code and then tried to use that key it would not work. I don't know if this was user error or a device error. Hard keys always worked. I'll perform a master clear over the weekend and try again and call X10 if that doesn't work.

The DVR functions of my Motorola Cablebox did not work. I was about 5 seconds into learning the rewind button when it dawned on me that it might be another code for motorola dvr cable boxes and indeed there was one that worked with my box.

In the FAQ for the device it reads this:

Q: Can I control X10 lights and appliances with the iconRemote?
A: Yes! All you need is the Infrared Mini-Controller and it will control your X10 gear too!

I've tried but failed in getting X10 IR codes to transmit from the remote. I've made a tv device with the default code 999 and 998 for X10 and nothing seems to work. I'll call X10 about this one.

Macros are another feature that I have not tried but from the manual it looks like it was poorly designed.

Overall I'll give it a 7/10. It saves me from using 4 remotes but I do have to pull it out for some select features that can't be learned on my remotes.

Pros:
His/Hers Favorites
Bright Clear LCD Screen
Huge Built In Remote Control List
Device Wizard
Channel Logo Favorites
DVR Controls
Price $129 Promo
Punchthrough Bypass(Make keys like volume change your tv volume while using your Cablebox)
Learn IR Receiver at the bottom of remote (seperate from transmitter)
Multiple Sleep Timers

Cons:
No Keypad Backlight
No X10RF
X10 only using the IR543(which I haven't gotten to work yet)
No Touchscreen
Heavy
Macros are hidden deep within the learn feature

Update:
I've received a new remote from X10 and the transmission if IR to the IR543 now works and softkey learns work as well. Thanks Michael Millary @ X10

The Clark Sisters - O Come, Emmanuel

Another Clark Sisters rendition

Karen Clark Sheard-Couldn't Tell It If I Tried pt. 2

This is almost just too much to watch. You would probably want to have unlimited data or use a wifi access point.
*Get a Skype Gateway or Cordless Skype Phone

*The cordless Skype Phone speaks for itself
*A Skype Gateway http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Skype+Gateways connects your regular phones to a skype adapter and you can make skype calls from any phone in your house. Two things to note.
1. You'll need a computer that is always on and connected to the Internet to use this effectively. The skype gateway is a usb device that plugs into your pc running skype. Skype runs on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux. This is the only skype adapter that I know of that has software available for all the Operating Systems http://www.echostore.com/skype-phone-adaptor-usb.html So dust off that old computer, stick a USB wifi dongle or connect it to your router and run it without a monitor in a closet or out of sight when you have it setup.
2.You may need to rewire your phones if you want all your phones to be able to do this. If you have VOIP Phone service in theory, you should be able to attach a device like this before it connects into your Voip adapter. It's really easy for me, all my phones are wired to distribution panel and I can add and take away lines at will. When I switched from Bellsouth I literally unplugged one line and connected the other from my voip adapter in two clicks. Below are a few sites that can show you how to do it

http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/20/how-to-wiring-voip-to-your-phone-jacks/
http://www.jakeludington.com/ask_jake/20050206_voip_over_phone_wiring.html
http://michigantelephone.mi.org/distribute.html

Hang Stuff with the Hercules Hook

The Hercules Hook claims it will hold up to 150 pounds and only leave a pin size hole. Although Yang Yang and Lun Lun both exhibited normal behaviors, attempts at mating were unsuccessful this year. Zoo Atlanta staff believed the behavior observed was encouraging for future mating attempts.
March 29 & 30: Artificial Insemination
After determining that the pair was unlikely to successfully breed this year because of behavioral inexperience, Zoo Atlanta employed artificial insemination. This procedure has resulted in many giant panda pregnancies and has no effect on future natural efforts to reproduce. Fresh semen was collected from Yang Yang for insemination.
March 31 – August 6: Tracking Possible Pregnancy and Preparation for Birth
Zoo Atlanta continued hormone tracking, recording behavior and used ultrasound to detect a possible pregnancy as well as prepared the nursery for potential birth(s).
August 7: Birth Watch
Zoo Atlanta initiated 24-hour watch based on hormonal changes that are consistent with pregnancy and pseudo-pregnancy, a phenomenon in which the behavioral and hormonal signs of pregnancy are exhibited but the female panda is not actually pregnant. Lun Lun continued to show normal activity and received her usual diet (bamboo and high fiber biscuits) until August 12 when her activity level began to decrease. This is normal for both pregnancy and pseudo-pregnancy."

Google Talk updates client with new features

File Transfer
With this top requested new feature, you can send unlimited files and folders to your friends through Google Talk. But I’ll be damned if I see another chick on your arm.”

If you've got problems at home I don't think that a cd is a good way to deal with relationship issues.

Looks Like She Walks in A Room and Says Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I love Beyonce and Jay-Z but I love these pictures of what their kids will look like.
